I too have had surgery from Bertagnoli with very questionable results and no follow care. I also am left in a maze of hell without care trying to find someone who can figure out the mess. Would love to speak with you at some point, I live in PA but have travelled far in wide to find help and thank fully have pain management keeping the little engine that could running (sometimes). My heart goes out to you in so many ways,I too was very young 26 when my nightmare started so I feel the LOSS it's indescribable. The trust chrused not many people even get it. The doctors tell us what they want us to know (You'll be as good as new) blah, blah, blah. Very technical!!! I would like to speak with you by email I saw you on some ADR support websites but did'nt see contact info so I'm giving this a chance. Please contact me if you feel up to it my email is kradamski@yahoo.com i really would like to speak with you. Thanks and hang in

Comment on PRODISC REVISION & CONSEQUENCES... All I hope for is that people would stop,
think, research, and not just blindly read doctors web pages successes
(and I mean ANY doctor here). No one doctor puts devastating outcomes
from their procedures on their web pages, its given. BUT not everyone
will leave a patient with no help to lie down in bed for a year in
debilitating pain, saying that the surgery was done fine, while other
top surgeons saying that the patient was not a candidate for a
procedure, needed a revision and an official investigation from German
independent doctors stated that it was indeed a grave error. Now that
my life is ruined, I have nothing else to do but research this stuff. The more I read, the more I am about to pass out in disbelief. You only read a small part of the story here. You
can find more on http://www.spinesupport.org/simplemachinesforum/ in the section "Research Lab, Library". My best wishes.

Coincidentally, I am thinking of having facet replacement and the Doctor is Dr. Bertagnoli. Believe me I am rethinking my decision. He now has a practice in L.A.

Comment on PRODISC REVISION & CONSEQUENCES... "SpineTalk" is not dead but apparently people dont want to post
their stories. The forum is supposed to be self perpetuating, i.e. no
pushers or promoters into "desired" direction or medical device
product. All the others, that i know of, are promoting certain doctors
and devices. This one was made from people banned from the other
forums - for being failures, or for objecting to the bias.

Sorry,
its true - I did kind of disappear from the net and all boards after my
Prodisc revision. It was a hard one...really hard, and I had no desire
to "talk". I WILL be posting on forums now (until i get booted again!).
Your story is absolutely heart breaking and I am thinking about your
post often...I hope so much that somehow, things will improve....Well, I
hope to "see" you in a virtual world - hang in there.
